    3. This is my brother, he is a decendant of the Carroll, Farthing, Shearer, Underwood and Halliburton lines. The Press Republic December 22, 1967 DeSoto, Missouri Page 1 Bryan Carroll Dies in Upset On Highway 47 Funeral Was Here Dec. 25; Burial in Tullahoma, Tenn. The funeral for Bryan Carroll, 19, 905 Jefferson, was at 2 p.m. Christmas Day at the United Church of Christ, Third and easton Streets, with the Rev. William Morisseau, pastor, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich Funeral Home. Burial was at 4 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Cemetery, Tullahoma, Tenn. Bryan's death occurred about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 47 about six miles west of Bonne Terre, just south of the Washington County line in St. Francois County. Bryan Trent Carroll was born Feb. 27, 1946, at Tampa, Fla., a son of James and Billie (McCollum) Carroll. He had resided the past 18 years at DeSoto, and was employed at DeSoto Ben Franklin Store, operated by his family. Surviving with his parents are: two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Carol Ann) Swain, Atlanta, Ga., and Billie Lynne, of the home' and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford L. Carroll, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. O. N. McCollum of Tennessee. According to a report of the State Highway Patrol, Carroll apparently lost control of his car on a curve, it left the road, turned over, and came to rest on its top. A passenger in the car, Ronald Joseph Stewart, 18, of DeSoto, has been released from Bonne Terre Hospital, following treatment. According to unofficial reports, Bryan was pinned under the convertible, and Ronald, though dazed and injured, made his way to a nearby home to obtain help. 3. Larry, When I copied the report from FTM to the email it was changed over to plain text. It had been super scripted (the five that is). The five simply means that that person is the fifth generation in that lineage. Also, do you happen to know your James Carroll's wife's name? 1. [CARROLL] Carroll/Peyton Connection, Ballyglass/Eskragh, Co. Sligo, Ireland
    2. T Jens Feeley
    3. Folks: I'm interested in information about Beesy (Bridget) CARROLL from the village of Ballyglass in the townland of Bunnacranagh, Co. Sligo. She married James PEYTON before 1867 and had at least 8 children (Thomas, b. 1867; Ellen, b. 1869; Patrick, b. 1871; Mary, my GGrandmother, b. January 1874; James, b. 1878; Martin, b. 1880; Joseph, b. 1883; and, possibly Bridget, whose birthdate remains unknown). Beesy's siblings probably included Michael & John, but that has not been confirmed. After her wedding in 1900, Mary Peyton moved to her husband (Roger FEELY)'s home in Eskragh, near Tobercurry, just 2 or 3 miles from her family in Ballyglass. I don't have much else on Bessy's ancestors, not even her parent's names. It also appears that there were Carrolls living in Eskragh during the 1901 & 1911 censuses, but I'm not sure if they are related. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. Thanks, T. 3. This is what I have on James Carroll of Harrison County, Kentucky Descendants of James Carroll Generation No. 1 1. James5 Carroll (Dempsey Porter4, Sanford3, Dempsey James2, Daniel1) was born August 11, 1820 in Kentucky, and died August 13, 1881 in Leeslick, Harrison County, Kentucky. He married Jane Ervin Hamilton December 07, 1842 in Kentucky, daughter of Thomas Hamilton and Martha Sanderson. She was born January 22, 1822 in Fayette County Kentucky, and died October 25, 1896 in Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky. Notes for James Carroll: 1880 census of Leesburg, Harrison County, Kentucky shows that he has two black servants working for him. One is a Ms. Mariah Enoch? (ink is faded so it is difficult to read her last name). Mariah is an outstanding 100 years old at this time! It also states that Mariah takes care of the poultry raising. They also have under their roof a Mr. Franklin Watkins who is 20. It does not list Franklins occupation. The census reveals also that James cannot read or write. The only person that can read and write in the household is Mariah. There are only two members of this household that are attending school, Charles and the servant Franklin Watkins. This shows me that my great-great granparents were nice people. They did not cast out people and seemed to take in people as they went along. I think this has to be hereditary as I am one person who will 'take in the strays.' More About James Carroll: Burial: Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky Census: 1880, Harrison County, Kentucky Occupation 1: Stockman/Farmer Occupation 2: Stock Trader Notes for Jane Ervin Hamilton: 1880 census of Leesburg, Harrison County, Kentucky shows that she could not read or write. I am looking for a James Carroll who was purported to have been in Warren County KY in 1833 where his son Henry Clay Carroll, my 2nd great grandfather was born. Henry Clay died in 1913 in Dallas County MO. His (Henry's) children's names were Mary, William, Cora Isabel (Called by Belle and Larrah), Sarah Jane (always called Jane) Charley (Charles Washington), Martha, John Riley (and more, can't remember names right now). On Henry Clay's death cert he lists his fathers name as Jas and his birth as Sept 1833 Warren Co, KY, supposedly from around Bowling Green) which we have always taken to mean James, but have hit all dead ends in research in Warren Co KY. Do not know the name of Henry Clay Carroll's mother or siblings. Hoping to make a connection Blessings Sherry Carroll Qualls
