Two older sons, Henry and Charles, fought, as did DeRosey, in the Civil War as members of the Arkansas State Troops (CSA.) She was born in Wilmington, Mass., the daughter of Edward and Esther (Walker) Quimby. She lived in Sutton for most of her life. She worked in the housekeeping department at Colby-Sawyer College for seven years. Survivors include her husband, of 32 years, Ralph Carroll of South Sutton; a son, Morris Wheeler of Penacook; a daughter, Maureen Casper of Havertown, Pa.; two brothers, Edward Quimby of Claremont and Henry Quimby of Ascutney, Vt.; a sister, Virginia Fontaine of Sunapee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her first husband, Morris Wheeler, and a grandson died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sunny Plain Cemetery, Bradford.
