I believe these ancestors have not been included in most family trees. My Great Great Grandparents are Reason (b. 1794) & Elizabeth (Engle) CARRICO. The children of my 2 great grandparents are Sarah Carrico COWDEN/COX; Josiah Carrico (SP PADGETT & PURCELL), Eliza Carrico DEVORE; William Carrico (SP Mary UNKNOWN & SMITH); Seircy (or Feircy) Carrico; Louvica Carrico SMITH; and Bazil Carrico (SP DEVORE). I have lots of data on most of the collateral families listed above as I am sure that you do. Therefore, I only am submitting to you more detailed information on Reason & Elizabeth's last son and my great grandfather: Bazil Carrico (b. 11 May 1836). Bazil Carrico (b. 11 May 1836-Haddon Twp, Sullivan Co., IN; d. 26 Dec 1925-Vigo Twp., Sandborn, Knox Co., IN) married Elizabeth DEVORE (b. 20 Sep 1840 IN; d. 14 Jun 1924-Vigo Twp., Sandborn, Knox Co., IN) m. 03 Oct 1858-Sullivan Co., IN. They are both buried in Sandborn Cemetery, IN. Elizabeth DEVORE's father was Daniel DEVORE -IN, who was married to Sallie HAMILTON-IN. The Bazil & Elizabeth (Devore) Carrico listed above had six children. Sarah Carrico (b. 1859-Carlisle, Sullivan Co., IN) , SP Ben PLUMMER (b. 1856-IN) ; Bazil M. Carrico (b. Apr 1864-Haddon Twp, Sullivan Co., IN), SP Laura UNKNOWN (b. May 1873-IN) with twin sons Lester & Raymond; John Carrico (b. 16 Jul 1867-Sullivan Co., IN, d. 03 Oct 1898-Knox Co., IN, Sandborn Cemetery); Arminda (Mindie) Carrico (b. 10 Feb 1870- Haddon Twp, Sullivan Co., IN, d. 20 Mar 1959-Daytona Beach, Volusia Co., FL-Sandborn Cemetery) SP Henry William COCHRAN (04 Jun 1854-Daviess Co., IN, d. 23 Sep 1935-while on vacation in Sandborn, Knox Co., IN- Sandborn Cemetery) m. 18 Jan 1888-Vincennes, Knox Co., IN (Parents of Henry William COCHRAN: Michael John COCHRAN (b. 1804-Ireland) & Margaret Mary WOODS (b. 1824-Liverpool, England, d. 02 Nov 1872-Prob. IN); Julia Carrico (b. 05 Sep 1874-Sullivan Co., IN, d. 17 Jul 1960 Prob. IN, Sandborn Cemetery); and Osa (O.W.) Carrico (b. 19 Feb 1876-Sullivan Co., IN, d. 17 Jan 1969-Prob IN, Sandborn Cemetery) SP. Cora UNKNOWN (b. 25 Feb 1871-Prob. IN, d. 22 Sep 1945-Prob. IN-Sandborn Cemetery). Since my grandparents were Henry William & Arminda (Mindie) Carrico Cochran, I will also add their six children's names. Arminda had six children, all born in Vigo Twp, Knox Co., IN, three lived to be adults (& are now deceased) and only one of those had children of his own, my father. Arminda (Carrico) Cochran's children: Milton Bradley Cochran(1889-1968 -FL), Infant son Cochran (1892-1892), Grover Cochran (18 Oct 1893-1893-IN), Stroddard Cochran (18 Oct 1893-12 Aug 1904-IN), Ernest E. (Mickey) Cochran-my father (b. 16 May 1901-12 Apr 1974-FL) SP Margaret Helen LOWMAN, (1908-IL-1991-FL), and Dolla Esther Cochran (1904-1990 FL.). I hope someone can fill in collateral or direct family gaps that I might have. Also, if any of you are directly related, I will be glad to share more information that I have. Please be assured that the data I have listed above is documented. Those of you who are Reason & Elizabeth (Engle) Carrico's descendants will note that, purposefully, I have not listed as their last children Elizabeth Cowden Booker or John Booker as issue. I believe from examining various sources that Elizabeth Cowden was in fact the child of Reason's first daughter Sarah (Carrico) Cowden and that John Booker (living later with Reason was, in fact, Elizabeth Cowden Booker's spouse. Would love to hear from any of you regarding what I have submitted. Incidentally, not long ago I remember reading an E-mail that I no longer have from one of you that cited a Mindie Carrico with about the right BD as mine. Hope especially to hear from you.
