    3. Pleased to meet you, Patti. Welcome to the delightfully obsessive world of genealogy! I do not have a direct link for you, but we are certainly in the ballpark here. My great-grandfather was William Murphy WILLIS, born 6 May 1853 in Carlisle, Sullivan Co., IN. William's parents were John R. WILLIS (b: 1824, IN; d: ?) and Sarah TRIMBLE (b: 23 Nov 1824, Haddon Twp., Sullivan Co., IN; d: ?). Sarah's parents were Joseph TRIMBLE (b. 3 Feb 1796, Lexington, Fayette Co., KY; d. 12 Jan 1873, Sullivan Co., IN) and Catherine CARRICO (b. 15 Jan 1801, IN; d. 3 Jan 1871, Haddon Twp., Sullivan Co., IN). I'm having a great deal of difficulty with the WILLIS line, but once you have connected to Catherine CARRICO, your ancestry is known back to the Maryland immigrant, Peter CARRICO. I suspect you are only one generation away from making a connection to these families. Who were your grandparents? Diana P.S. By the way, William Murphy WILLIS died 3 Feb 1912 in Fallon, Churchill Co., NV. He and his family immigrated there from Missouri in 1905. His wife, Ida BROWN (b: 30 Aug 1856, Lansing, Ingham Co., MI; m. 17 May 1877, Chillicothe, Livingston Co., MO) died in Fallon on 24 Nov 1943.
