My 4 x gt. grandfather William CARPENTER bc1763 I believe in Roehampton, Surrey, at least his gravestone (d1833) says of Roehampton, as he was living in Hastings, Sussex for most of his life. I have found on the IGI, an extracted baptism for a William 29 May 1763 at Putney, which adjoins Roehampton. Parents Joseph CARPENTER and Mary. William married Caroline GURR in Hastings in 1786 and it would appear that his only son William b1799 moved to be near Roehampton, as the headstone states he died in London 13 July 1832. I descend through his daughter Sarah b1790 who married Mark WHITE in Hastings. Is there anyone who has this William on their tree? Regards to all, Frances
