Hi Robin, Thank you for your posting. I found my gggrandfather Levi V. Carpenter in the information that you shared. " p.191 Carpenter, Levi V., 32, mx1, wf Mary J 32, mx1 6 ch. Malissa 12 Benj D. 10, Chas P. 8, John H. 6, Moses 11/12. [Levi is ABC #2154...some children diff from other reports]" I am curious as to what the reference to ABC #2154 means. I know that according to Levi's Civil War File, his parents were Benjamin D. and Elizabeth Canfield Carpenter. I am hoping the ABC #2154 reference will help me to identify further back on the family line. Thanks again, Jim in Ohio
