Hello, Would anyone have a CARPENTER/GUNTER connection in VA pre-1800 to about 1880.   I have a two sons of John Gunter m. Suzanna Harris in Goochland who married Carptenter girls: Enos Gunter m April 1810 VA Frances Carpenter, daughter of John and Mary ? Carpenter. John Gunter Jr.  m Aug 1804 Mary 'Polly' Carpenter, daughter of John and Mary?  Carpenter. Need Mary's maiden name and descendants. and of course all Gunter descendants as that is my main line.  Any information would be greatly appreciated. I found in Louisa death records a listing for a John Carpenter,  who died 27 Jan 1880 age 67 years (Thus born about 1813)of consumption.  He was unmarried.  Interesting thing is that Dr Enos F. Gunter, the attending physician, was the son of Frances Carpenter and Enos Gunter. Peggy in CA
