    1. [CARPENTER] Resting place of John and Lois Carpenter of VT

    3. I'm fairly new to the saga of the efforts of various people to find the final resting place of John and Lois Carpenter. From what I understand, a pretty thorough search was made of the Marlboro/Guilford areas (maybe Halifax too) in Windham County where they were married and their children were born. Right? However, Lois died 7 Mar 1880 in Readsboro, Bennington, VT. Also, according to the 1870 Census, John and Lois were living in Winhall, Bennington, VT. So you might want to search for their stones in that area of Bennington County. Peter Blood
