In looking back at the words of ABC as quoted by Bruce, I see that ABC was explicitly wrong about the General Court to which William was elected. It was clearly the General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Plymouth Colony also had a General Court, but Weymouth was not represented in it. In any case, I feel sure that William was indeed chosen for the General Court, since Savage is seldom wrong about such things. John Chandler
