Carpenter is my mother's maiden name. My great-[Moses Cook Carpenter], great-[Basset Cook Carpenter], great-[Smith H. Carpenter], grand [George Washington Carpenter]. To my knowledge these are correct ancestors, but would like to share information if you have it. I can definately verify Smith and George Carpenter, but need some positive documentation for the great-great and great grandfathers. Do any of these names sound familiar to you in your searches? I do hope we can help each other. Drenda Medina Drenda, My Moses Carpenter d. 1828 and named no sons in his will. However, concurrently there was a Moses Carpenter in Ohio or MI or one of those mid states and you might look that direction, also there was a Moses Carpenter a little later in the south, like, KY or TN, not sure which who survived Indian scalping...........tough guy, huh. Sorry, I do not recognize any of your names; however, Basset is a New England surname, so would look that way also. Phoebe
