This is regarding the message from Ed regarding his Carpenters (Zimmerman) born in Switzerland. The Carpenter line that I am researching is supposed to have originated in Germany. Last name originally Zimmerman. Is Zimmerman also a common name in Switzerland? I know that they share a border & along that border many speak German. Just curious. Barbara
