Recently received a copy of a letter written 1909 which refers to the death of ROBERT CARPENTER. The letter says Robert went to Atlanta GA for a "gravel?" operation and did not make it. Author of the letter wrote it in Bear Creek Marion AL and sent it to Clay County AL. The author of the letter previously lived in Fayette/Carroll Co GA. I think he "might" be the son of Thomas M. Carpenter and is the one who was living with his sister Mary (Carpenter) TANNER in 1900 census Carroll Co GA.
