Hi John, I also think this is my line of Carpenters. I believe that my great grandfather John W. Carpenter b1866-1867 IN. The son of William A. b1846 IN. William's father being Rufus. I found William A. Carpenter with wife Melvina on the 1880 Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa census with children John W. b 1867 IN, Nora (Nona) b 1869 Iowa and David b1873. In 1900 John W. was married to Ida (Addie) and living with their children in Neosho CO. Erie, KA., where all four of their children were born. I would very much like to find someone related to my line. My mother and her siblings have never met any of the Carpenters other than my grandmother's sister Vera. To reiterate my grandmother and her siblings were separated after their mother's death between 1815-1820. Vera and my grandmother found each other in the mid 60s, I only met Vera once when I was real young and can't remember to much about her. I don't think they ever found their other two siblings. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
