Donna, Someone told me that the "Zimmerman" name was changed to Carpenter during the Rev. War. They said it was changed when the Zimmermans took the Oath of Allegiance. I don't know who told me that, and it would be interesting to find out if that is when the name was changed. I wish everyone a "Merry Christmas." Elsie White
