Hi Folks,I found Benjamins Pension application which was filed by his wife Margaret, This is Orange County, But the Major and his Col were different names??He was under Capt Thompson, and regiment ran by William Allison , and a Col Benjamin Tusten and a Maj John Decker, It tells of His escape from a capture where he escaped from the back of the fort and made his was through a deep ravine ,trying to get back to Montgomery. all I can say is WOW, There are 9 pages most of tells about his enlistment,and many different battles.Very cool History, I would love to get it transcribed and read it ,It is hard to read as is.But you can get quite a bit out of it . Does anyone know,what line of Carpenters this is, Is It the Rehoboth Carpenters??. Any Ideas?
