    3. I put in a bid for the Bible on eBay, and was immediately outbid. There appears to be some interest out there. Here's the link to the eBay listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/1832-Family-Bible-of-Hope-Phebe-Carpenter-MI-NJ-etc_W0QQ itemZ130179467346QQcategoryZ20926QQcmdZViewItemQQisPrinterFriendlyZ1QQpvZ2 It expires on Sunday, December 9th. I would suggest that this Bible deserves a place in a museum or other accessible institution that will care for it. I recommend the Carpenter Museum in Rehoboth, MA. They get a lot of Carpenter genealogy seekers, so it would be a useful resource there. It's on the Web, or I can post contact info. Best, John E. 3. The last I heard the Carpenter Museum was storing Carpenter data and not wanting any more. There was some talk about sending it to the SAR Library in Louisville KY which does have an extensive amount of Carpenter genealogy material and is very accommodating to researchers. This would be a reasonable place to send that Bible. I hope that we aren't bidding against each other. -----Original Message----- From: carpenter-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:carpenter-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of John Carpenter Sent: Friday, December 07, 2007 6:59 AM To: carpenter@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CARPENTER] Carpenter bible I put in a bid for the Bible on eBay, and was immediately outbid.
