Greetings, Thanks for the reply. the connection of my Carpenter line thru Zimmerman in PA is remote I feel, however, I am stopped at Christopher Carpenter, born on 4 Oct 1798 in NY, married to Henrietta Greenman oin 1821 and died at Summerville, St. Lawence Co. NY on 4 Nov 1847. I have put to gether a "guess" genealogy, but can't prove it. I'll just keep looking as so many of our Carpenter family genealogists are doing.
