My Carpenter line comes from the new England branch, however I am researching my Graham line also and that is Pennsylvania. Recently while going through the books available on line through Heritage quest I came upon a "book" titled - "Notes and queries: historical, biographical and genealogical, chiefly relating to interior Pennsylvania, 1st-2nd series., v1-2, 1881-1883, 3rd se,. v. 1-2, 1887-1891, 4th ser., v.1 1893". This ponderous title covers a group of what looks to be pamphlets put out in the years mentioned. The author seems to enjoy the local history and jots down random bits of information as he finds them. There is no index!!!! Although it is tedious, I would recommend Pennsylvania Carpenter researchers going through it also. Jessie Deith
