Good Morning Donna! How about this?!! My uncle, Grover Cleveland Carpenter was killed in a grain elevator accident on November 13, 1944 near Bald Bluff in western Illinois. He is buried in Alexis Cemetery next to his parents, Charles Aaron and Sarah Jane Houghton Carpenter. Grover and his wife, Esther (Brown) lost two children at birth then raised two of his nephews after Grover's sister Mary died. Small world!
