Well, Phoebe, here's two tidbits that may help. I find in Early Records of FPC at Goshen (Coleman) pp. 10 & 17: (1) Ephriam Marston married Ruth Carpenter on 3/28/1779, and (2) Peter Stagg married Ruth Marston on April 29 1788. How ABC knows (a) these two Ruths are the same person, or (b) that they (or either one) was a daughter of John #74, I do not know. All else aside, it seems remarkable for Ruth to have had her first marriage at age 59 (or 61, as ABC has it). Perhaps ABC has Ruth's birth year wrong; perhaps it's a different Ruth Carpenter; perhaps she's a late bloomer. Robin
