I am curious about Increase Carpenter being executor to his father John carpenter's will. Were there two Increase's who were executors? In the Carpenter Memorial, Amos has an Increase Carpenter as executor of his father's will of May,1. 1738, page 50 (note that in the same paragraph about Captain John Carpenter, he has a date for a will proved July 30, 1732) and on page 83 he said Increase Carpenter was executor of his father's will of May 1, 1738. One of the John Carpenters had a wife Mary (Rhodes) and the other had a wife named Ruth Coe and may have been father and son. My questions are--does anyone have a copy of the 1738 will or any information about Increase Carpenter (were there two)? Margaret Cass
