Thanks so much for the Cornell website! I was up way too late last night reading about the events in the Civil War that surrounded the death of my GGgrandfather's brother, Giles CARPENTER. What used to be family tradition is now history, fully documented by the officers involved. Now that I know where to look, I can surely find a lot more. I also discovered that the MOA project is also right down the road at the University of Michigan, so I will be checking out their collection soon. Thanks again, George --- George R.
