In early April there were a couple of exchanges about searches for Abraham Carpenters. I have info on three generations of Abrahams, based on research by the late Vernon Hood of Plainfield NH, courtesy of Kay MacLeay: 1. Abraham C b.1739 Rehoboth MA, d.1797 Rutland Vt. Married Elizabeth Bliss (1738-1832). He was the first settled minister in Plainfield NH. Sons Abraham and Jesse (b. 1760 Rehoboth) 2. Abraham C (? - ?) Son of Abraham #1. Was the town "Pound Keeper" of Plainfield, and a licensed taverner. His children were born in Plainfield; Amos (1792), Vicy (1795), Cyril (1797), Abraham (1799), Hiram (1801). 3. Abraham C (? - ?) Son of Jesse (1760). Born in Plainfield NH, prob sometime after 1802. Hope this helps someone. Robin C.
