Hi Barb and list, My John C. Carpenter is said to have been born in Vermont and is present in the 1870 census for Allen Co., Ohio married to Margaret A. with children: Malisa, Lewis H., Arthur, Henrietta, Charlie and Edward. Wish I had more information. Beth MacDonald
