I'm looking for parents of Mary "Molly" Carpenter; b: Abt. 1768, possibly Tolland, CT. In 1787, either in Tolland or western NY, she married Simon LOOMIS (b: 7 Mar 1758 Tolland, CT), Revolutionary War soldier. They lived in Tompkins County NY, where they had 11 Loomis children. Late in life they moved to Chautauqua County. Simon died 1842 Harmony, Chautauqua County, and Mary died 9 Mar 1853 Cattaraugus County, NY. Mary may have been related to John Carpenter of Stafford, Tolland, CT, whose wife was Mary Loomis, and who had a daughter named Mary, born 1777. Bob Forrest (forrest@whidbey.com)
