I am seeking any information available on my great-grandmother, MOLLIE REBECCA CARPENTER, b. June 19, 1866 (in Arkansas?); d. Oct. 23, 1934 at Pine, Camp Co, TX. She married EUGENE NAPOLEON LEWIS (1857-1934) in 1883 and they lived and raised ten children in Pine, TX. Their children were : Allie Mae Lewis (my grandmother, 1884-1960); Trudie Leona Lewis, (1886-1932); Wilber Eugene Lewis,(1889-1961; C. C. Lewis,(1890-1945); E. M. Lewis,(1893-1894); Clarence Lewis, (1895-?); Jessie James Lewis, (1898-1969); Jodie Jewel Lewis,(1900-1963); Ophelia (Opal) Lewis, (1904-?); and Ruby Mildred Lewis, (1907-?). MOLLIE REBECCA CARPENTER's parents were JOHN AUGUSTUS CARPENTER (b.?,d.?) and Sarah Cope (b.?,d.?), places of birth unknown. John's father's name was REUBEN CARPENTER, his mother's name is unknown. I'm told they were from South Carolina. Do any of you Carpenters see any family connections here? I would be happy to share information with you.
