After weeks (seemed like months) of calls, I finally go a copy of my grandfathers death certificate. The state of Florida seems to be centralizing death & birth certificates. But only after (I believe it was) 1995. Any thing before that go to the county. Dade county is in the middle of moving its records. This all lead to lots in misdirection. Seems that my grandfather, Kenneth, was born in Everett, Michigan. Everett doesn't show up on mapquest. Does anyone know where it is?
