    3. Dear Penny, For the Carpenter lines after the 1440s - the main lines are fairly well documented. There is some lines like the Southern Carpenters that need more research. There are also many lines in England that need to be filled out. >From 1250 to about 1440 - there is more work to be done and confirmed. Prior to 1250 - Many pieces of the Carpenter line is educated speculation. This is not to say there is not some pieces of good documentation on parts of that line. With this understanding, as documented in notes of the main Carpenter data base for the Carpenter CD Project, use the data as appropriate. The Carpenter CD Project is due out about the first part of the year 2001, with the deadline at the end of the year 2000. Hopefully it will be a neat little package for Carpenter Researchers. I encourage everyone to submit a piece of the puzzle from any source you find (don't forget to cite). Feel free to ask questions. Many clarifications and errors have been corrected this way. The purpose of the Carpenter CD Project and forums like this one is to promote questions, combine research and brain power. And, yes we can have fun doing it! John R.
