Thanks for all of the help. I believe the consensus is the the person filling out the death certificate on my grandfather, Kenneth Carpenter, did not know how to spell Evart, Michigan. I'll be heading that way soon to check out for a birth certificate. The truth will tell then. --Bob Johnson
