I am more and more of the opinion that she married Joseph Junior. Think about it. Women were scarce on the frontier. She could have had her pick. She was a young widow with small children. Which would most women choose in that circumstances? A strong young man? Or an old man with a large nearly grown family. The records do not show which Joseph she married. And Joseph Junior DID have a daughter named Judith. Many families named daughters after their mothers but would he really have named a daughter after his father's second wife?
