Jerry, I still don't know how my family ties in to the major lines, if they do at all. This is because of old John b. 1797 in VT, as I call him. My father and I discussed this is depth. Many family members have searched for his ancestor(s), to no avail. We decided that maybe he was just such a jerk that nobody wanted to talk about him, or to him, so he ended up not leaving much behind except a big family that didn't like him. I hope that's not the way it was, but in the pioneer days, heading west made lots of sense for such a person. Still looking, anyhow.
