Now as stated before I can't make a comment on the accuracy of anyones research because I just don't have the credentials to do so. Realizing that, let me ask what might be a dumb question....but this is how we learn. Could, the Carpenter ancestry you have been researching tie in with DeMelun at an earlier date? In other words could DeMelun have been the ancestor of the Carpenter merchants you talk about. I mean even if Hitler had children they might have totally different beliefs than he did, as I suppose it is with all families.
