Recently I was asked about International Money Orders. Good News and Bad News ... The Bad ... Ruesch International which used to charge $3.00 per IMO now charges $15.00 per IMO. The reason for the increase is to discourage individuals from using them. Their phone number is 800-696-7990. The Good ... International Currency Exchange charges $5.00 per IMO. Their phone number is 888-278-6628. They use a similar system to Ruesch, in which you tell them what you want to send (In American dollars or Pound Sterling or Francs, et cetera) and they will give you the exchange rate and final cost.
