Searching for the parents of Samuel Carpenter born 1810 in Virginia. Samuel married Nancy Jane Bird from Franklin County, VA around 1866. They moved to Wayne County and later Putnam County, VA around 1870. Any information on Samuel would be appreciated. Could this be the same Samuel listed in the 1850 Bath County, VA census?
