Louis: Here's a tidbit that probably won't help--in that it's a NY connection--but anyway is a Carpenter-Reeves connection: My 3rd great grandfather was Jonathan Carpenter (7/24/1785-6/2/1835). He was born in Orange Cty NY, and moved to North Moreland PA about 1812. He married (in NY, date unknown to me) Abigail Reeves, daughter of James Reeve(s) (1760-?), who was the son of Deacon James Reeve by his 2nd wife Mary Moore (dau of David Moore). Many/most of the Reeve(s) family resided at Slate Hill in Goshen NY. Deacon James Reeve(5)'s paternal lineage (going backwards) was Stephen Reeve(4), John Reeve(3), James Reeve(2)...whose father (#1, name unknown to me) is said to have immigrated from Wales c.1660.
