I have been searching for years for the parents of Lucretia Venora Carpenter. I tried the new LDS site and, much to my surprise, there she was listed with her parents. I have yet to confirm the information, but all details match. Does anyone know these Carpenters? William Carpenter b. April 1, 1776, Providence, RI, d. November 15,1838 IL m. Charlotte Holmes ( first wife Jemima b. 1800 VT) In the 1840 Census, Mrs. Charlotte Carpenter was in Bureau Co, IL daughter: Lucretia Venora Carpenter b. November 6, 1824 NY.
