Good Morning, I am trying to find out more information on my CARPENTER line. I have gotten the following information from the Bible of my ggggrandmother, Julia Smith Davis. James Cushing d. Mar 1904 Leonard Smith and Charity Carpenter were the parents of: 1.(M) George Smith b. 1836 NY d. Erie Co, PA 2.(F) Sarah Smith b. 1838 NY d. Erie Co, PA 3.(F) Harriet Smith b. 1840 NY d. Erie Co, PA 4.(F) Julia Ann Smith b. 1847 Angola, NY d. 1914 Erie Co, PA Leonard and Charity Smith must have died in close proximity as Julia went to live with her Aunt Phebe who m. Daniel Pomeroy. Julia was about 12 yrs old. Sisters, Sarah and Harriet, went to live with their Aunt Judith and her husband, Phineas Pomeroy. I have been unable to find out where George went. From census records, it appears that George never married. From census records and monuments at the McLane Baptist Cemetery, I found that neither Sarah nor Harriet ever married either.
