Hi Bonita. My pictures are on another computer whose modem is out of order right now, but will try to get the one of my great-grandfather in his hardware store to you if possible. It just happens that someone e-mailed me info on Ella (or Ellen) a few years ago, which I'll try to summarize. Her name is Nancy Peche (NLPeche@aol.com) and if you can't get hold of her I'll give you more details. In the 1870 census Ella was listed as Ellen Ickes, then in 1880 as Ellen Carney. Her parents were Mathias Ickes and Margaret Bixler. There's also an account of her wedding in the April 1887 Bedford Gazette. Good luck!
