Doris, I was glad to see your posting re. Margaret Carney as it appears that we may have a common connection with Ulster County where my family has resided for many years. I as I understand it, roots go back to John TCarney b.1795. John was married to Nellie Stokes and they resided in MBTT. They had a son named Richard b. m1882.My grandfather was Lewis Carney. Do you see any possible connecrtions among the brances of the Carney family tree and the Countyman family who intermarried with the Carney's.
