Seeking information regarding Joshua CARNEY and his ancestry. Joshua b. Jan 13, 1826, OH or PA; m. Matilda NIGH, Sept. 23, 1847, Shelby Co., IN; d. Jul. 15, 1883, possibly Christian Co., IL. Joshua was reportedly a Union soldier. Son Jacob was born in Macon Co., MO, 1864. Joshua probably migrated with his family to a farm near Pana, Christian Co., IL, where his great-grandson, my great-uncle, still lives today.
