However, there are many similarities between the families. First: My g g grandfather, Samuel Carney, may have marred a Martha Wells from Wellsville, Ohio. Second: My family also resided in Allegheny County (Becks Run Road, Mifflin Township, Homestead & Munhall). A few other pieces of information: Wellsville was supposedly named for the Wells family, Martha had a brother, who was a Dr., and two sisters. The town of Sistersville, Ohio may have been name after them. If any of the above information has a connection to your Carney family, I do hope that you will contact me and that we will be able to exchange information.
