I'm researching a Willis CARNEY born about 1797 in VA?, died Feb 12, 1857 in Jefferson Twp. Noble County, Ohio. He married 1st wife Jane ?? about Sept. 1818. He married 2nd wife Priscilla STRONG Dec. 22, 1850. Willis and Jane's children were Elizabeth married Thomas F. JONES; Nancy married John PIERCE; Adam married Mary Catherine WALTERS; Susan married John CARMICHAEL; John married Rachel LINTON. Willis and Priscilla had a son named Thomas. Willis was listed in the 1820 and 1830 Ohio County, (W) Virginia Fed. Census. Then in 1840 and 1850 Washington County, Ohio Fed. Census. His father is possibly Edward Carney.
