My Carney ancestor went to Indiana sometime late 1820's or 1830. Stephen Carney married Leah Terwilliger 27 June 1794 in Hopewell Pres. Church at Thompson Ridge, NY. (Orange County) They are mentioned in the "History of Cass County, IN" by Thomas Helm as well as the "History of Rush County, IN" . They are buried in Manilla Cemetery, Walker Township, Rush County.
