    3. Peter, Just wanted to let you know that there was indeed a U.S. Navy Admiral Robert B. Carney. The U.S. has named a destroyer in his honor. His father's name was R.E. Carney, wonder if that was Robert, also? I happen to be a retired U.S. sailor myself, and thought you might like to check out this website: www.spear.navy.mil/ships/ddg64/index.htm It will tell you a little about the ship and Adm. Carney. Regards, AKC(AW) Robin Carney, USN, RET ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter D Rogers <newhurst@compuserve.com> To: <CARNEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2000 17:04 Subject: [CARNEY-L] Carneys in England ! > So many of you seem to think that all of the Carneys went West !!
