Husbands Kearney family came from New York to Ohio to Shelby County, Indiana. Name was spelled Carney until they came to Missouri in about 1870. John Valentine Carney was born in 1833, census info says in Ohio, with father born in New York. Carney's married into the Fixx and Van Benthuysen families. We have no information on parents of John Valentine Carney. That is our DEAD END.
