    3. I would like to see if there are any Carney researchers looking for connections in St John New Brunswick. My gggrandmother Ann Jane Carney was born in St John in 1831/1832 and her parents according to her death certificate were James and Catheraine. Any one out there that have Carneys from St John? Thanks Bud _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

    3. Dear Tonya, I would be enterested in seeing if my Carneys fit in anywhere with yours. My grandfather was Lester Franklin Carney. A similar name might mean a common link somewhere in the past. His father was James Isaiah Carney, son of Thomas Luther Carney, son of Iveson Carney. They were all from the Tidewater area of Virginia, Matthews and Lancaster Counties. Lester Carney III D & T ARCHEY wrote: > You all are so amazing!! Kymm you and I are definitely cousins. Lester Carney was my great uncle. I knew him well. Your g-grandfather is my missing "Uncle Jim". My dad is 64 and he is one of the few Carney's still alive. Our Carney's have a heart condition that has claimed most of our line early in life. The only thing that my dad could remember about Uncle Jim was that he was a night watchman at a lumberyard in Nashville and that he had lived on the Murfreesboro Rd. I have pictures of Lester and his brothers. You are welcome to what I have. Lester and William were both guides at Mammoth Cave. Lester still has one son alive, Ralph Carney, of Cave City. Ralph has tons of old family pictures he doesn't know who they are. I have traced this family back to Matthew Carney, but can't get beyond him. Thank you all so much. Please keep in touch. You have given me more in two days than I could come up with in over a year. Sincerely, Tonya Carney Archey

    2. Hi Carol, Here's what I have even though it's not much. I have more on James' children if you'd like Matthew Carney James Henry Carney b. June 24, 1885 d. 3. Hello, I'm researching Nickolas & Emeline Carney. I'm trying to prove that they are the parents of Matthew Carney (my GGG-grandfather). Nickolas died in Knoxville of measles during the Civil war. Emeline and her son Summers V. Carney are buried in Fentress County TN. Any help I can get on this line of Carney's would be appreciated.

    3. Hello Barb I Know that you and I have written each other before , But I haven't written for a long time. I do not know who Thomas Married my Thomas was born in either Kingston Ontario Canada, or possibley even Ireland. This end of our Genealogy is so unforgiving . they were Catholic , Michael the Father of this family imagrated from Ireland . my sister Nancy did some research on him and found his wife as being Ellen M. Burke of Oneida New York , I still haven't been able to confirm this information. I do have some leads to go on for the family but I have to go to the Family History Library here in Salt Lake, my lead is to look in the St Mary's Catholic Church Registers from Ontario and maybe I may find my Carney Family in their I Hope . Thankyou for your devotion to Genealogy and your writting to those of us doing our Genealogy.. have a Good Day John Lane -----Original Message----- From: BarbRRob@aol.com <BarbRRob@aol.com> To: CARNEY-L@rootsweb.com <CARNEY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, September 24, 2000 12:11 PM Subject: Re: [CARNEY-L] Re: Carney Family >I just saw your posting of the Carney Family and was wondering who your >Thomas Carney was married to.
