    2. The only thing is, I don't know where Thomas and Lovina (Morton) Carney came from. My grandparents moved to Friendship, New York in the 40s. The names don't sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, Barbara

    2. Mike Carney, where in Ireland are yours from? Do you know when they came to the US? I'm trying to find out where in Ireland mine are from. I know they came in through Canada. Michele Carney

    3. Barbara, my carneys came from the Newfoundland area. As far as I know some are still there, but I have been unable to contact them. My grandmother was a carney who married a Roache (Roche) from Newfoundland. My cousin has tracked them all. But no word of my carneys. Thanks Joan ----- Original Message ----- From: <BarbRRob@aol.com> To: <CARNEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 07, 2000 6:35 PM Subject: Re: [CARNEY-L] Carneys VA > OH > Would you have any information about Thomas Carney who married Lovina Morton? > They lived in Sinnamahoning, PA in 1881 when my grandfather was born. 3. The carneys I have left which was my grandmother's maiden name, still in Newfoundland. never met them. They came from the St. John's area, but as of yet, have not made contact. My grandmother married a Roache (Roche) from Newfoundland, and my cousin has tracked all the Roachs down.
