    3. Mary, Catharine Carney married Michael Pellegrino on January 20, 1896. They lived in the Brooklyn Heights section of Brooklyn (Hicks Street). If this helps: on the marriage cert., it lists Phillip Esposito and Emma McManus as the witnesses. (I believe Emma's last name is McManus or close to this spelling). It also lists "First Place", which I believe to be the location of the church and the Reverend's name. Thanks, Mary Ann

    3. Any idea if Ann Jane Carney had a brother and her original spelling was Kearney, brother's name would be Michael J Carney from Count Clare, Ennis, Ireland born in 1898, from Old Mill street. We lived in the Washington Heights Section of Manhattan and my father married an immigrant girl, my Mother Mary McMullan in 1939 in Manhattan, I was wondering because my Father had an estranged sister who he said lived out west, but we were never sure, her name may have been Jane or Ann Jane Any of this familiar. Also there was another family in our Parish in Washington Heights(Incarnation) who's last name was Carney, they lived on Audubon Ave at 177th street, we lived on W. 178th street, and their was no family connection between us, but confusing none the less. 3. This is what I have. My father Michael J. Kearney ( Carney) Changed the spelling of his name when he arrived at Ellis Island sometime in 1918 or 1919. My father was born in County Clare, in the city of Ennis, on the 25th of September 1898, according to his Baptismal Certificate. His Birth Certificate states his date of Birth as 3 Oct 1898, I tend to believe the baptismal certificate as it states he was baptized on the 26th of September a day after his birth.. His Father's name was Thomas Kearney and his Mother's name was Ellen Coughlan(Maiden Name) My Grandfather Thomas had one brother named John Kearney and a sister named Bridgit Kearney. They were Catholics, lived on Old Mill Street, in Ennis and were members of The Drumcliffe Parish RC Church. My Father died in 1969, There are four children from the marriage all boys named Emmett, William, Thomas and Michael, all still living, two in NY and one in Fla, and me in Thailand. It appears that my search continues in Ireland and We don't know of any part of the family that immigrated to the states prior to my father's generation, He had an older sister who he was estranged from and she immigrated to the states after WW1, I believe her name was Jane Carney(She also changed the spelling of her name) and she moved out to California, it is believed in the 1920's, but I fear that I have come to a dead end with her as we are not sure of her name. We are searching County Clare records again, in hope.
