I ask because searching for "Bradford" in Co. Clare townland and parish databases does not produce any results, i.e., no townland or parish of that name. You can check this for yourself at www.seanruad.com, or through the Clare County Library's website. If you do go to the Clare Library website, you can pull up all the Carmody families enumerated in the Griffiths Valuation, done in 1855. This gives a listing of all leaseholders at that time, with locations. http://www.clarelibrary.ie/ Have you checked the Boston passenger lists? They are indexed. You can rent microfilm of the manifests through LDS Family History Centers, or go to one of the National Archives regional offices. Or your library may have a subscription to Heritage Quest, which would enable you to get the films through your library. Alternatively, if you have a subscription to Heritage Quest, you can rent the films yourself.
