My family is: Michael Carmody, born in 1829 in Limerick, Ireland and married Mary Torticill in Pittsfield, Mass in July 1851. They had ten children: John; Josephine; Margaret; Ellen (my GGrandmother); Elizabeth; Sarah; Mary; Cornelius; Anna; & Thomas. I know there are several other Carmody families in IL around that time and are probably related. Keep trying & good luck. Betty
